Sipho is a geologist with an Honours in geochemistry and a Masters degree in geology from the University of Cape Town.

As a registered Professional Natural Scientist and Fellow of the Geological Society of South Africa, Sipho has over 21 years experience in the mining industry.

Before co-founding Omang Resources in 2011, he served for four years as Director of Exploration and Project Development at the JSE-listed Mvelaphanda Resources Limited and eleven years in various technical and senior management roles at the De Beers Group of Companies.
